Instead of using relative block placement via pictures of sub assemblies,

Define a grid.

Place piece number 1 in grid section (44,44),(45,47).

It is implied that piece number 1 is a 2 by 4 brick, but it could be a 2 by 4 tile.

Place piece number 2 in grid section (44,46),(45,46).

It is implied that piece number 2 is a 2 by 2 brick, but it could be a 2 by 2 tile.

Note that step 1 and 2 have overlapping coordinates.
